This year Moorestown Robotics held a qualifier for our region at the UES school.  To avoid the appearance of favoritism, none of the Moorestown Robotics FLL teams were allowed to compete a the Moorestown qualifier.  Instead we were all encouraged to help.

ABC News, WPVI was there and reported on the qualifier:

Congratulations to the Moorestown Robotics FLL Teams!

FIRST Lego League's Impact

Here is a story where a public radio station followed an FLL team through judging at the Razorback Invitational, which is an international level FLL tournament.  The story provides a great perspective of what going through the FLL process can do for kids.  The interview of the kids by the news woman is the best.

When you get  chance, thank your kid's coaches and let them know that their efforts are valued.  The kids that they guide through this process are really benefiting from their volunteer efforts.  A big Thank you goes out to all that step up to help out.

Learn all about it - April 30 and May 10th at the Moorestown Library, 6:30PM for FLL Jr (6-9); 7:30PM for FLL (10-14)

It is SO MUCH MORE than robots!  Research, problem solving, public speaking, team work, and coding/design of robots!  For more information regarding kids 6-9 contact Melissa at  mathiessen@gmail.com and for kids 10-14 contact Harry at jhhf@me.com.

We also have a need for parents to volunteer as coaches.  No robotics or engineering experience required.  It is the only way you can guarantee that your child will be on a team!
